And Emily Moss, Wellesley College class of 2019, won the Truman in 2018! Wellesley may typically nominate no more than four applications to go forward to the national competition for the Truman.

Truman Scholarship Foundation supports the graduate education and professional development of outstanding young people committed to public service leadership.
This scholarship provides funding toward senior year and graduate school for juniors interested in a career in public service.So take what I have to say with a large grain of salt - the other 17 readers would each differ with what I write here, I am sure.Fac Rep letter: I already wrote about this yesterday, but this is where you first encounter the candidate. The two of us that had scored it high had to do some serious convincing of the third. Readers often disagree on files (today we had one file that all three of my team members needed to read -- it was scored as a 7.5, 7.0, and 4.0.Do not underestimate the importance of academic and intellectual achievement, however. Brandeis University is limited to 4 nominations per year but may not necessarily endorse the maximum number of candidates each year.
